Ellen Guerrero, MS, LAC
Ellen Guerrero began her journey into counseling career during adolescence. She was fascinated with how the mind worked and studied psychology during her undergraduate years. Briefly, she explored other career options (including cake design!) but none held the wonder of the human mind, spirit, and body. Ms. Guerrero returned to school and graduated from Monmouth University with a Master's of Science in mental health counseling, specializing in substance abuse. Currently, she is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the state of New Jersey. Ms. Guerrero has experience working with a diverse background of individuals including children, teens and adults. Additionally, she has furthered her education in areas including mental health, Sand Play Therapy, Ego State Therapy, Attachment Trauma, Yoga in Children and Teens, Mindfulness, and dream interpretation.
In her spare time, Ms. Guerrero practices yoga, cooking, painting, and other wellness activities. She looks forward to helping others on their path to wellness.
Alexandra Gingerelli graduated from Seton Hall University with a BA in Psychology. While there, she worked as a Research Assistant, which gave her a unique perspective early on in the field. She went back to school to receive her Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University and became licensed by the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). She has experience working with a variety of clients that range from individuals suffering from severe mental illness to others simply trying to navigate through life’s challenges. She believes that therapy is most effective when built on a trusting therapeutic relationship and strongly values the collaborative process between the client and therapist. Some of her interests in the field are play therapy, client-centered therapy, and existential psychotherapy, particularly the work of Irvin Yalom. She believes there is always more to learn and looks forward to continuing to add to her skill set. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and writing.
